Upholstery Service
£100.00

A selection of my work as an AMUSF (The Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers) accredited, with distinction, upholsterer.

With a background in leather working, designing and making accessories and bags, but also shops and private home fittings, I specialise in hand saddle stitching.
This stitching technique is most valuable in the renovation process of leather Mid-Century Furniture.
And, per se, it was used in the complete reconstruction of the pair of Marcel Breuer B3 armchairs, shown on this page.

I also offer caning, either traditional or in leather, as shown on the Lion's Paw feet French Bergère, entirely reconditioned from the frame up.

The late Louis XV/ early Louis XVI French sofa was totally re-upholstered using french traditional techniques of upholstery. Its delicate frame, covered in Gesso (Plâtre de Paris), needed attention, and was also repaired with great care.
