Suicide Blonde is the brainchild born of passion of French born, London based Designer Estelle Lordonne.  Suicide Blonde is a High end handcrafted Leather Accessories Company.

Originally from a musical & artistic background, the Designer began training at LCF (London College of Fashion) In Leather accessories Design, acquiring the basic techniques allowing her to give a multidimension to her drawings & sketches.

The mystic & the sacred have a strong & direct implication in the Designer work. The ambivalence & symbiosis between Life & Death, and the human realization that one cannot exist without the other, were a starting point for Estelle’s creativity:

From the unbearable fragility of being & its inexorable end erupts at once this exalted lust for earthly pleasures. Not only but also, the Primal need to create, leaving a testimony of our flickering existence in the nite of times.

But, please, do not be duped by this apparent sternness in her vision of life:
Like the light springs from the darkness, so do her creations: they are most playful, light hearted & with a certain wit that undeniably doesn’t go unnoticed. The collections have a vast range of shapes, colors & design pleasing to a large array of people. The look is simple, yet striking. The Designer’s taste for all things quirky & intriguing is always present in an underlying courant. So is her Bohemian way of life & sense of style inherited from a ‘Rag & Bone’ great-grand-father.

Estelle Lordonne’s work is a reflection of her taste & psyche. She is fascinated by Vanitas from XVI century Deutsch painters & Memento Mori of Victorian times. Her love of Rock&Roll music, Comic Strips, Pop Art is also vibrantly translated through her creations, as the following collections show:
La Petite Mort, Crash! Boom! Bang! Cosmic Relief without forgetting ‘Dead Man’s Hand’.

Furthermore, Estelle is emotionally touched by silent movie Stars & most importantly by Bela Lugosi. She transcribes her vision of this magnificent actor in a collection dedicated to his memory: ‘Z’ (He is Alive).

Estelle creates tactile, supple & most unusual unique pieces: nothing neither stiff nor contrived. Each piece of all collections is a one-off, designed & handcrafted by the Designer from her London based Studios. Estelle uses her flair alongside traditional hand stitching & embroideries techniques to add appliqué leather designs to the accessories. She goes to great length to source the unusual materials she uses: Beautifully soft Leather ; ethical organic cotton; Swarovski crystal; Vintage unused charms, handcrafted Turkish & Tibetan beads; Japanese semi-precious stones & vintage Kimono fabrics; Antique Victorian lace, fixtures & ornaments; African batiks; etc. These have been collected over the years from trips around the world & from Antique Fairs for which the Designer developed a taste at an early age.
